Arrived in Florida after a very pleasant flight spent chatting to a lady name Crystal who was a real estate player! She buys property and then fixes it up, then either sells them or keeps them as rentals. I arrived in Tampa to a grinning Jen and Chris at the airport, along with the lovely Anastasia waiting outside with her car (a magenta Chevy Blazer!). Much as I thought, I spent a good wee while periodically apologising to everyone for making them get up so early and come out to St. Petersburg airport to pick me up. We then traveled to Jules’ house and said hello, then it was off to ‘the Village Inn’ for breakfast. I had pancakes which were nice but tasted a little floury. We then dropped Jen at school and headed back to Anastasia’s place with Chris. Chatted with Chris and Anastasia for a bit, then settled into my room and had a nap. After that I went back to school with Anastasia where I met more people (like one Mr. Keen, music and band teacher, quite a nice guy), saw Kev for the first time (man does he look different since he was in NZ), Anastasia got yelped at by Elicia (her mom) for going (???), then we went grocery shopping and then back to my home away from home for the duration of my stay. We then chatted for a while and watched a movie, having sandwiches for lunch from the grocery store (Publix). We then picked up Jen from work and went back to her place to see the family again. ^^ Great to see all of them again! Yay! We sat down and chatted for a while and had some tea (what is it with people here and iced tea?) then Anastasia and I went home, talked some more and then went to bed. That’s the end of my first day in the main destination of my trip.
