Another taste of America
Today I slept in. Not too much, but enough. It was good to get some sleep. I did a little bit on my laptop, then Anastasia came and picked me up and we went to Chick-Fil-A. This, along with Taco Bell, would be a franchise that I would like to bring back to New Zealand. Really nice chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, that kind of thing. Sadly, I think that the chicken market in New Zealand, particularly in the fast food market.
Some of the food we picked up was for Anastasia’s workmates, and our next destination was Hillsborough Community College and to the lab where Anastasia works. Lunch in the back room, where I stayed for the next five hours or so (in the back room) doing email and a little bit of work. Man I hate having so much email to catch up on. Not to mention being behind on this blog as well. ^^;
After work we went to ‘the store’ again. This time it was mainly to pick up a lot more tissues, since I’ve managed to pick up Anastasia’s cold. Yeuch, I hate head colds. Especially ones where your nose runs like a damn tap and you make small mountains of tissues. Pretty much keeps me out of trouble, though.
On the up side, Anastasia taught me how to make these barbeque beans with bacon in them. So good. Makes for very good snack material, as well as good side-dish material in a main meal. Mmmm.
