Anastasia’s been a little stressed, so today I made her relax. I’m pretty sure this was a Good Thing ™. After relaxing (and Anastasia despairing over the horrible, horrible performance of the Bucs), we set to doing the usual chore-type stuff and errands. Off to Priscilla’s, armed with a large bag of washing. The reason we were off doing this was that Jules cancelled on the dinner we were going to have, as her family ganged up on her once she was back in town and booked her solid for like, four days. Anyway.

So we get to Priscilla’s, load up the washing and get it going, then it’s off in her car (a big thank you to Priscilla, Anastasia’s car is tiny) to do the shopping.

First stop is Sam’s Club. This is kinda a cool idea. Essentially you pay some kind of yearly membership fee, then that gives you (and anyone with you) the right to come into this massive store and buy in bulk. Kinda like the Warehouse, but better. Anyway, we picked up a bunch of baking supplies, Gatorade and some other stuff that Priscilla wanted. I also got a frozen coke in the little cafe-thing they have in-store. Cheap! $1.15 (including tax) and it was rather large.

Next it was off to ‘the store’. Yes, back to Publix for general grocery shopping and things we didn’t want in mass quantity. Around and around, everyone knows what shopping is like (same shit, different country), then it’s back to the car, pile it all in and head back to the ranch. First it was back home to put away everything that needed to go into the fridge or the freezer, the rest being left for when we got back later. Then it was back to Priscilla’s to unload all of her stuff (yay for me being able to lift things!) and to put the washing in the dryer.

After that we hung out and talked for a bit, and then Anastasia and I tickled the ivories for a while. *shudder* Man that was out of tune. I remembered some things, forgot lots of other things, and when I tried to play the Moonlight Sonata (off of some music), I couldn’t work out why it felt different to when I used to play it – Anastasia was kind enough to point out it was in a different key. ^^

After the washing was dry we took our leave and went home. We ate a bunch of vegetables (no Mum, I’m not getting scurvy) and sat around while I updated my blog (again with the back-dating, yeesh). Not much else to report… watched a bit of television, read some of my new manga. Sleeeeeeep…
