Well, I slept a bit longer than usual last night and when I woke up I was feeling decidedly queasy but it passed after a while. I don’t really know why I was feeling that way. I don’t think I ate anything bad or anything. Ah well, I just hope I don’t repeat it, as that was rather unpleasant. Anyway, after that I checked my emails and my RSS feeds.

After reading up about PAX over on Penny Arcade, I realize that it is in fact held about 20 minutes drive from where I currently hang my proverbial hat. Given that tickets are actually pretty cheap, assuming I can get to/from via bus or what have you, I think that going along would be a fabulous opportunity. Only problem with that is it’s in August, which means I’d have to come back from Florida a bit earlier than I was expecting. I don’t know if I want to do that or not. Well, I’ll see how my summer plans firm up and then see about getting tickets.

Anyway, after it was time for more acclimatization with my graphics assignment. Looks like the essentials shouldn’t be too hard, but the optional extras are a bit trickier. I’ll try and work on it a bit more solidly so I’m not rushing at the end, but with the work I’ve got coming up, I don’t know how much time I’ll have to spend on the optional extras like I would like to be able to.

Anyway, I talked to Anastasia for a bit, showered and had a shave (my first since leaving Florida… I’m still hardly Sean Connery). I then did a bunch more emailing and talked to Anastasia some more. I went and made myself some dinner in the kitchen and then (naturally) my flatmate offers me some pizza. Ah well, maybe next time.

Aftter that it was time for me to do my readings for class, do a bit of blogging and realize exactly how far away from Anastasia I am. I’m a trifling 5288km from Tampa… from Chch it’s 13272, that’s like a 60% reduction. I have to say, distance still sucks.
