I slept in. I felt like crap, so I slept the whole way through my first class. After that I got up feeling a bit better, so I sat down and started to make sense of what I needed to do today. This took a while, and some emails and so on. After that I went in to Uni for the Colloquium, which was P. Anandan talking about Microsoft Research, India. Pretty interesting stuff actually. I think if I actually like doing research (I’ll find out this year, I guess) then I’ll go for a PhD somewhere, then maybe do some one- or two-year stints doing research until I want to do something else.

Anyway, after that I went back to my apartment and got some dinner (mmm, frozen pizza), then from there I went to the Atrium to meet up with Mario about our project. We had a bit of ameeting and talked about a whoel bunch of shit, and Rob also came in and sat near us as I was going to hook up with him afterwards to just chill and do study together and so on. Rob and I went to this place on the Ave that sells Bubble Tea. I was unaware of exactly what this was, but t’s not too bad actually. I might try the hot one next time, but while weird, it was pretty good. Rob and I worked and chatted and did stuff at this bubble tea place (which I forget the name of), then after that, when we were getting too frustrated with things (and they closed), we went up the road to a bar called Flowers for some drinks. What better way to get over feeling shit than having some drinks?

That was good fun, we just talked shit and so on. I had to explain to the barman what an Illusion was, although I don’t think I did a very good job. I never remember exactly what’s in those. Anyway, met up with a friend of Rob’s named Abe, also a good sort. Talked some more shit. Eventually left there, they left to go back to their places and I waltzed down the Ave back to my apartment.

Not literally. I walked.

At that point it was 2-something and I sat down and wrote my blog entry, chilled out and watched a little bit of anime and then went to bed.
