Late night gorillas
Well, I did actually manage to get some sleep, which was nice. I installed Adobe Premiere and tried playing with it for a little while, trying to get a smaller version (with audio) of my animation artifact, inspired as I was by my brother telling me he thought it was cool. ^^
Today I churned through a little bit of email, talked to Anastasia for a while, went and got manga from town (the bus ride is a good way to relax and do a little reading), then went and got my groceries for the week. Was kinda funny actually, I had to consciously think about how I wasn’t going to be here next week. There will probably be a bunch of stuff here of mine still left here for the week, but it’ll all be non-perishable stuff.
I’d like to take a moment here to point out to my mother that I got a bunch of cranberry-apple drinks, which I’ll be drinking throughout the course of this week (as I did the last time I got groceries) in order to boost my Vitamin C. I also managed to have a chat to my Dad over Skype, which was fabulous. As well as catching up with all the necessary business stuff, it was good to just catch up with him in general now that he’s back from the UK. Hopefully I’ll chat to him a bit more often now that he’s back.
Other than that I did a bit of work, trying to wrap my head around a bunch of stuff. I pretty much ignored my assignment today so I could just have it rolling around in the back of my mind rather than stressing me out.
My roommate Andrew, the one that’s in the room next to mine… he has this tendency to play music or shoot-‘em-up games in the middle of the night. While I’m usually awake anyway, on the occasions when I’m going to bed at a semi-civilised (relatively speaking) hour, it can be a bit frustrating. Right now he’s playing Gorillaz.
