A good day for Graphics, Graphics, Graphics!
Well, I managed to be awake and up and about in the morning today, instead of lunchtime or later as seems to be usual of late when I actually get some sleep. Hopefully I can keep that on track and regulate things… hopefully. I can’t say I have a lot of hopes for it this week, anyway.
Well, I went into the office after breakfast and a few emails. I spent a fair amount of time doing administrative stuff, emails and so on. A lot of this was getting material together for the requirements for my research project, which was good to get, but a lot to take in and certainly a lot to read through before getting my own research sorted. I probably should have hit up the UC Computer Science Administration for all of these documents a bit earlier on in the piece. Ah well, naught I can do about that now. On I go…
Again, spent hours and hours doing my project. I did divert myself briefly to administer a few downloads and try some algorithm problems (today is the last day for the first Imagine Cup round), but on the whole it was Graphics, Graphics, Graphics. I saw Rob briefly when he came down to my office, he’s swamped as well, with probably quite a lot more university stuff than me, as he’s just finishing up his Masters. Anyway, at the end of the day when I decided to come back, I had a working force model for constant forces (which means I can make wind blow). For those of you who know some physics, I have the structure set up for viscous drag and springs as well, although springs isn’t fully implemented. I’m still trying to work out how to input force-fields so I can do cool explosions and stuff.
For dinner I had BBQ, Chicken, Broccoli, Cheese, Eggs and Bacon… yes, I had a lot of different kinds of Pockets. And an apple, and more of my cranberry drink. Is it weird, what I eat?
