Zombie Leith
Slept like absolute crap and felt rotten when I woke up. While I did go to class, I almost passed out in Photography. I managed to keep it together, worked on some implementations for assignments, did some emails, crashed out. Ick, what a day.

Busy, but good
Well today was a busy, but healthily productive day. I went to all of my classes, that was pretty interesting.
I went bowling with Anna and had a big talk with her about trying to fit in here in Seattle. She reckoned it took at least a year before people started to really warm up to you, if not two years. Since I’m only here for a year and not here over the summer, that does present me with something of a problem. However, I’ll do my best and I suspect that the Fall Quarter will be better in that regard.
I had a meeting with Michael (my lecturer) and Nate (my project buddy) about sorting out what project we were going to tackle for the final project for 3D Photography. This went through our ideas, then three or four other ideas until we finally arrived at something that got approval. Later on Nate and I drafted the proposal for the final project (which will form the basis of the project report later on).
I also went over to the IMA and played around with a basketball for a little bit as well, that was good to let off some steam.

Leith is a space cadet
Today was my trip to the Space Needle! I went out with a bunch of the FIUTS people. That was pretty fun, I got to know them a little but not a lot. I took a bunch of pictures, so did the others.
Once I head back (ostensibly to do homework), I realised exactly how much of a space cadet I really was. I did a little bit of my homework, but then I realised I wasn’t all there, so I just worked on my pet wish-list project since that didn’t really involve thought. I went to bed early.

Catch up
Ok, so this will be the first of a lot of shorter entries as I do brief catching up on what I’ve been up to. I do keep a track of what I do in a Word document on my computer, but I need to make a better habit of putting them up online here. ^^;
So, next up I had to write my midterm for Vision (including a section that was covered while I was sick), and catching up on the various materials from all my courses. I didn’t answer the section of the mid-term that was on the material covered while I was away, but I said I would be happy to write extra if I had some time to cover the material.
On Friday I went to the last part of the Anime Club meeting and caught the last few episodes (I was busy writing my report through the first part), then went out for Bubble tea afterwards as well, although I was feeling pretty quiet and not hugely sociable, so I begged off after a while.
I also took a day off. I worked on a pet project for a while, did plenty of resting after a stressful week back. I thought that this would be rather prudent, since I didn’t really want to get sick all over again. I talked to my family back in New Zealand (Happy Mother’s Day!) over Skype as well.

Hugs are wonderful things
Going to bed turned out to be a good idea, since I slept for absolutely ages. I slept through my alarm, but managed to get up and head off to Photography (the class I’m actually registered for) but I missed Architecture (the class I’ve been sitting in on). Photography was about the final projects, some ideas and what we’re going to be doing. I don’t know what I’m going to be doing at this stage, none of the topics really reached out and grabbed me and I still need to finish up what I was doing on the last project.
I took back the camera that’s been sitting in my office for a week, I did a lot of email, I had a very quick fly-by meeting with Jenny, the undergrad chick I met at that Sun event ages ago. That was better than I thought – she gave me a hug! ^^ Since anyone who knows me knows my stance on hugs, physical contact has been lacking for me here and that really meant a lot more to me than I thought it would to get that. So hooray for that, I face the week with new strength. ^^
