Well, January is finally over. I never really thought it would take me as ridiculously long as it did to finish my report, but it did. Anyway, barring minor revisions that’s all over and done with, and I’ve been getting back into doing some work, which has been really nice. Not being able to work on anything during the last couple of months due to academic concerns was a pain, so it’s been refreshing. ^^

Anyway, other things that happened in the remainder of January… actually, not much. I spent most of my time working on work stuff or working on my report. Past that, I did some relaxing, did chores around the house (still a decided lack of furniture) and that’s about it.

Anastasia and I got a TV (right now we’re sitting and watching the Superbowl on it, although I don’t really care all that much) off of craigslist, which is basically a site full of classifieds. They even have one for New Zealand (and Christchurch specifically), although I think more people use TradeMe in New Zealand, which is a different model. Classier presentation as well, in my opinion.

Anastasia’s mother is due to visit sometime soon as well, at which point we’ll be getting some more furniture, which will be nice.

Anyway, I’ve been missing everyone back in New Zealand and thinking about you all (I will never use “y’all”, no matter how long I’m in the US… *shudder*) a lot. I’ll be back in June and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. If you’re reading this, drop me a line and let me know what you’re up to. ^^
