Work on Thursday was mostly general administrative stuff and sorting out a bunch of flights and hotels for our prospective hires to come visit the studio. After that I had arranged with Jeremy that I wouldn’t be coming in to work on Friday as Anastasia and I were driving down to Tampa for the weekend. Which, after cleaning the house a bit after work, is exactly what we did.

Friday was a party out on the St. Petersburg beach for Vince and Connie’s (Anastasia’s aunt and uncle) wedding anniversary. All dressed up, everyone looked great – loads of photos were taken as well, which hopefully I’ll get some copies of at some point. Anyway, the whole thing was well done, although not as many people there that I usually know at Anastasia’s family functions. Connie was all dressed up in her wedding dress, and the train that used to be on the dress had been made into a little dress for their daughter, Trinity, who looked adorable (as usual). It was good seeing some of the relations again and enjoy a fairly laid back party on the beach. After the party it was back to the condo to read for a bit, then off to sleep.

Saturday I spent trying to relax, answering a few emails and doing some reading while Anastasia ran a few errands in Tampa, then we drove back to Gainesville in the evening. Today the clocks in the US ticked over for Daylight Savings again, so an extra hour of sleep! Anastasia and I spent the day being lazy together, even ordering dinner in. It was a good, relaxing time. ^^
